ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership members represent more than 287,000,000 people in every industry, profession and social cause in the world.
Our 2008 Global Summit on Social Responsiblity brought together some 800+ stakeholders from 19 locations around the global to plan a social responsiblity agenda for the future of the association profession.

One of the major outcomes from the Summit were The Global Principles for Socially Responsibile Associations and Nonprofits crafted by a volunteer team that emerged at the Summit.  The Global Principles are six voluntary principles that provide a broad framework to help organizations, associations and industry partners identify and strategically align their core competencies and missions with the innovative business opportunities that arise through incorporating strategic social responsibility into their long term goals and daily business operations.

To date, more than 130 organizations from 26 states and eight different countires have adopted the Global Princples.  Collectively, these organizations represent more than 1,500,000 people.  That's what I call scope!
